Timothy J. Mackey, MD

Dr. Mackey served two terms as Director of the Department of Urology and as member of Valley Hospital’s Medical Board from 2012-2020. He has served as Medical Director for Ridgewood Lithotripsy LLC for non-invasive kidney stone treatments at the Luckow Pavilion since its inception and has a special interest in Kidney stones. He has repeatedly been named to Castle Connolly’s New York Metro area and Bergen’s Best top urologist lists and has been in private practice in Midland Park, NJ since serving as chief resident in Urology at University Hospital and the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland in 1999 where he authored papers in Laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Mackey attended the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar receiving separate degrees in Chemistry and Economics (1989) and later his MD degree (1993). He has conducted research as both a National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health Fellow. He was the Salutatorian of Georgetown Preparatory School (1985). He is the recipient of multiple merit-based scholarships at both the college and secondary school levels including National Merit Scholar. Dr. Mackey is certified by the American Board of Urology.
